I loved staying at the Kismet Dao

Period of stay: February 2012 | Length of stay: 3 days

I loved staying at the Kismet Dao. My friend and I stayed for part of our ski trip in Romania. We originally planned to stay for 1 night only, but we were so impressed with the accommodation and the warm welcome we received that we stayed for 3!

The staff were very friendly, the place was great value with breakfast and a free drink included for each night we stayed. We stayed in a twin room, the room was clean, spacious and very warm. Sleeping was no problem as there are social and shower rooms 2 floors below (in basement level), and there is a quiet policy after 10pm. Hot water all the time and the showers were great.

The location is great for Brasov and if you're planning to ski, there are buses from town.. or if you're driving there's free parking and it's easy to get to a variety of ski hills.

Overall, thank you for a comfortable and fun stay!

Romania - Wine Country

Romania has one of the oldest wine making traditions in the world, it's viticulture dating back more than 6000 years. Legend says that Dionysos, the god of wine, was born in Thracia, on what is nowadays the territory of Romania. Romania or Dacia as the Romans knew it, had a well-established wine culture. The abundance of food and fame of the Dacian wines were so well-known and tempting that, to put an end to the migratory peoples’ repeated invasions, the Dacian king Burebista (1st century BC), ordered the destruction of all vineyards, as his high Priest Deceneu suggested.
