Ghost Fest 2012 in Râşnov - Chapter I "Return to the Nature"

Ghost Fest 2012 is a complex event to be held on July 13th and July 14th, 2012 at the biathlon field in the city of Râşnov, right at the bottom of medieval Râşnov citadel. Ghost Festival is a new concept which offers listeners a mix of folk music, ambiental, post-rock, metal and beyond, a new experience, creating intercultural bridges between various forms of arts and recreational activities in a natural setting, away from the crowded cities.

Evenings are reserved for the concerts with three names already confirmed: Trobar the Morte (Spain), The Moon & the Night Spirit (Hungary) and Allerseelen (Austria).

During the two days of the festival, some complementary activities are planned such as arts & crafts workshops, exhibitions of paintings, photography & traditional art, performances & reenactment demonstrations, film screenings, poetry contest, carnival.

The tickets are already on sale and available online at www.biletoo.ro, www.blt.ro, www.bilet.ro, www.eventim.ro. The price for one day festival ticket is 35 lei (~ €8), and two days subscription costs 60 lei (~ €14). Camping in specially designated areas in the proximity of the festival is included in the price of the ticket.

1. 24 hour reception for people who take the night train and arrive early in the morning … or late at night.

There is nothing worse than arriving to your hostel and finding you can’t even get in the front door until 9 or 10 a.m. That makes 4 a.m. arrivals miserable. And, there is nothing comfortable about sleeping on a front step of a hostel in a new city. For me, a hostel that doesn’t offer 24-hour reception is a deal-breaker. I am fine if I can’t get a bed right away, but at least let me in off the street so I can put my bag down and close my eyes in a safe environment.
